It was Doug & Joyce Bosisto who told us of your service. As a result we asked Gary & Cindy to handle our sales for us here in Johannesburg.

They managed to get so many people into the sales that we all had to muck in to sort out the “lookers” from the “buyers”. It was then that we heard Gary and Cindy selling so well the benefits of what our possessions had to offer.

They are professional, honest and nice people to deal with.

They work very hard for their commission.

We would recommend them without reservation. It’s only now that we see their biggest problem. Earlier this year I used Moving On to sell the contents of my house in preparation for my family’s move to Australia. Moving On was recommended to me by a friend who had used them sometime last year. On my first encounter with them I found both gentlemen (Ian and Bronson) to be both helpful and efficient. They explained the process to me very well and we set up dates for the next stages. A week later they arrived at my house to price and photograph all items. Despite it being a public holiday, they were once again thorough and efficient.

On the actual day of the sale we were somewhat overwhelmed by the response. Hordes of people came to our house and within two hours most of the items had sold. The few items that did not sell on the day were readvertised and within a week, they too were gone.

I would like to thank Bronson, in particular, for the manner in which he conducted all sales and the professional way in which he dealt with the financial aspect of counting the money, checking, rechecking and handing over the profits. I would recommend Moving On to anybody who is looking for this particular service.

Thanks so much for your help over the weekend with the purchasing of some little gems for our new shop.  Must say it was quite an exciting experience. Lance absolutely loves the teak cabinet and table - so much so that he now wants to keep that stuff for the house and my house stuff has to go to the new shop.  The guys delivered just before six, they were very helpful and polite....made the whole experience really pleasant.
I will definitely let my friends and customers know about you as it was altogether really quite a fun way to shop and meet people too.

My parents had lived on a farm in Somerset West for nearly 30 years and wanted to retire
and move to the coast. But they were stuck. Stuck with 30 years worth of things they didn’t
want or need anymore.  I imagined it taking 30 years to move! Richard arrived and it took
about 30min! Richard organized an amazing sale – there were lots of people informed and
loads of people came. It was professional and I couldn’t believe how quickly everything sold.
His website is remarkable – people arrived clutching a print of his weekly mail, determined
to buy a specific item and they had traveled far to be there. We sold everything!
Even the things that we all thought nobody could possibly want or need! But people came

What we do:
We organise contents of home sales throughout the Western Cape and in Johannesburg.
The sales are a great opportunity to browse, find yourself a bargain, fill the gap in your
collection or just have a look at what's on offer. Everyone is welcome, so come along and visit. You never know what you might find.

Due to demand, we now also advertise individual items on our web page under Classy Finds. If you have anything you would like to sell, please contact us.
Where we do our sales:
From people's homes (and on our web page).
When do sales happen?
Often on the weekends, usually between 10am and 1pm, but also during the week.
Check the website and newsletter to confirm the times.
How does the sale work?
Every item is priced - you are welcome to come and see what is on offer. This is not an auction but it is an opportunity to browse and find some bargains.
How to find us:
We send an e-mail to everyone on our mailing list when we have a sale. If you would like to
receive our mail please use the subscribe form on this website. The weekly newsletter gives a list of of the items on sale, their prices, and directions to get to the sale.
FAQs:
Is it an auction? No, everything is already priced.
Can you arrange deliveries? Yes, we can recommend delivery people to you.
Can I buy things in advance? No, you will have to come on the day of the sale – that way everyone has the same opportunity to buy items.
Can we view the items before the sale? Only on the internet.
